Family Visits

Planning to come and visit a relative in Gesher? Many families visit during the course of the year. Your sons will no doubt be eagerly anticipating these visits and they're a wonderful opportunity. We work together with families and talmidim to make them a success.

*This page is for families visiting current students. For prospective students and their families planning a visit, please contact Rabbi Greene.

Visiting

We require all visiting family to complete the Family Visitation Form prior to your visit.

When to visit

  1. Ideally, please plan your visit for one of the Yeshiva breaks. There are several breaks throughout the year, including around Sukkos, Chanuka and Pesach. For a full and up-to-date vacation list please contact the office.
  2. Our experience has shown us time and again that prolonged family visitations can be disruptive to the  student's Yeshiva experience. Therefore, if you are visiting, and want to tour around Israel, we ask that you take your son for a minimal amount of time.
  3. For any time that your son does wish to miss from the Yeshiva schedule, he will be required to ask for permission. This will be judged on a case by case basis and depending on what will be missed. Even with permission, the maximum time permitted to be away from Yeshiva while it is in session is 2 days.
  4. If you cannot plan your visit for one of the breaks, we strongly recommend that parents consider spending at least part of their vacation here at the Yeshiva, learning with their son. There is no better way to bond with him and experience a taste of his life in Yeshiva than by learning with him at Aish and meeting his friends and rebbeim. You are also welcome to spend Shabbos with the Yeshiva. Every year we welcome families to our Yeshiva for learning and for Shabbos experiences and it is always a highlight for everyone.
